Voice Recording Consent

Effective: 23 MAY 2026

This Notice explains how Staticholding Ltd, trading as Snoutsong ("we", "us", "our"), handles voice recordings when you use the voice note feature. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Please read this before you record or upload any voice content.

1. What we collect

If you choose to add a voice note to your order, we collect the audio recording you submit, the length of the recording, and technical metadata (such as file format and the time of upload).

2. Why we collect it

We use your recording solely to:

  • Place it at the end of your custom song delivery, as part of the order you have purchased
  • Provide customer support and resolve any issues with your order
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights

We do not use your voice recording to train AI models or to create voiceprints or biometric templates for identification.

3. Lawful basis (UK GDPR and EU GDPR)

We process voice recordings on the basis of your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a)). You give that consent by ticking the box (or pressing the equivalent confirmation) before submitting a recording.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting hello@snoutsong.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal. If you withdraw consent before we have delivered your order, you may not receive the voice-note portion of your package.

4. Speaker confirmation

By submitting a recording you confirm that:

  • The voice on the recording is yours, or you have the permission of the person speaking
  • The speaker is 18 or over
  • If the speaker is between 13 and 17, you are their parent or legal guardian and give consent on their behalf
  • You have the right to share the content of the recording with us and with the recipient of your gift

We do not knowingly process voice recordings of children under 13.

5. Biometric data

We treat the audio as an ordinary voice recording, not as biometric data. We do not:

  • Create a voiceprint, voice template, or other biometric identifier from your recording
  • Use your recording for biometric identification or authentication

This means our processing does not fall within the scope of laws such as the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) that regulate biometric identifiers. If this ever changes, we will update this Notice and ask for fresh consent.

6. How long we keep recordings

We keep voice recordings for 30 days after order completion, then permanently delete them. You can ask us to delete the recording sooner by emailing hello@snoutsong.com.

7. Who hears your recording

Your recording may be heard or processed by:

  • Our small production team
  • A small number of vetted technical service providers, only to the extent needed to add the recording to your song
  • The recipient of the gift (when you share the song with them)

Service providers are bound by written contracts that require confidentiality and appropriate security.

8. Security

Recordings are stored using encryption in transit and at rest. Access is limited to staff and service providers who need it to deliver your order.

9. Your rights

You have the rights set out in our Privacy Policy, including access, deletion, rectification, and the right to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email hello@snoutsong.com.
